Ken Kishihara April 2008

Well, unfortunately haven't been golfing lately. Only been to the range a few times. My father has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic lymphnode cancer, basically terminal. He's tried chemotherapy, but had a severe reaction, which almost put him 6 feet under. But through God's mercy, he recovered... somewhat. Well now he's got a fractured tailbone secondary from cancer, so he's going through radiation to hopefully decrease the pain. So anyone that is willing, please add my father to your pra… Continue

Ken Kishihara 2 valuable aids to help you swing better!

Just wanted everyone to know that there are 2 products that are out there that will definitely help your game immediately. It may not take tons of strokes off your game, but it will help improve it.

The first is TOUR TEMPO book with the cd. I was very skeptical about this, but decided it was a cheap book to try. Pick the book up at amazon for like 18 bucks shipped. At first I thought the 24/8 was just too fast, but now... I might go to the 21/7! I feel more fluid a

Stan Richards Golfing Again

I have been golfing more often of late. It has been several years since I last took the opportunity. My scoring is more than horrendous so I tend to ignore my score. My problem besides being simply a poor golfer; I always mark down the 'true' score and that ranges from an occassional birdie's to triple B's. (or more) . I include all penalties, real and imagined. Consistent is certainly not my name. It has been a long time since my last golf outing. My first recent outing was rather strange. All… Continue

Brian Ehrgood Blogs.......Golf in general....

Am new to this type of forum, so I really don't know where to start, but here goes....I purchased a new set of clubs this spring after always getting hand me down clubs. Right out of the box, i was finally able to hit a driver(460cc) no less, after always having to rely on trusty 3mw. Now comes the problem, hitting ball so much farther that my shots into the green are either too long, over the green or too short. I would like to know what other golfers of my hdcp.(16 down from 22 @ start of seas… Continue

Max Demp This is a first..

Golfing for this long and now writting blogs on the subject.. boy tech has changed the game. Took this game up on a dare in 1979 and have been hooked ever since. Hacked my way through the 80's and early 90's and finally had someone tell ME 'GO GET SOME LESSONS!' so went to my local GOLFSMITH store and enrolled into their GOLFTEC program .. I must say what difference that made. I hit my drives straighter and farther my putting has improved and last year I got fitted to a nice set of clubs.. Someo… Continue

Tom Shaddick Lots of golf played

Hi I play a lot of golf, this years it seems I'm playing more than usual. I have only one hole in one in my 30+year carreer but am always hoping for the next one. This site seems really cool its nice to be able to see your own swing. I've had a computer analysis done but it will be good to hear from a lot of different people. Continue

Donald Upp Can't Find the club face

I am 75, and my drives average 165 yards. A good drive may go 180, with a heavy fade - not quite a slice. Like another post, even turning my hands into a very strong grip doesn't help.

I have no vision in my left eye, so have no depth perception on a strange course. Every thing looks like 100 yards, even the par fives from the tee.

Biggest problems are clubhead speed (only 84 MPH) and hitting the driver near the hosel, regardles of how high or l

Jim Odom My Most Memorable Round of Golf

I received a message today from a 19thHole.com member asking me what my most memorable shot in golf was.

I'm sorry to say that I don't have that many shots that were memorable enough to store. I've had two "almost" aces, each of which hit the pin and bounced off.

I've had three 100+ yard hole-outs for Eagle and a number of drive-the-green par 4s.

But there's one round that sticks in my head. In my Club Championship several y

James Marinelli First Round of the Season

I played my first round of the 2007 season about a week ago, and I know I should have gotten out earlier but school and such was tying me down. I played 9 holes at Eisenhower Park on the White Course which is near the course that the Champions Tour plays at. They play the red course and it was taking place this week so I am not going to get out there at all this week... not even to the range :( . I was hitting a nasty slice, but good shots with my irons, even though they are not rContinue

jeff woodcock Hacker golf pt. 2 - the importance of the short game

Okay, you're not that good but a majority of the time your drive and your long iron does go straight. So (par 3's aside) whether it's a par 4 or 5, your first 1 or 2 shots, you're just whackin' it as hard as you can in the general direction of the hole, but now...the 3rd or 4th shot, you must actually MAKE a shot. Knowing you're gonna 2-putt (unless you get lucky) getting on the green means the difference between par or a double boge (or the dreaded snowman) I told my main golfin bud, Ya know ho… Continue

jeff woodcock Hacker golf - play for score or learn to play right

Okay, you and your buddies are about the same. You're trying to learn but at the same time your also trying to beat them. So say you're like me and have a tendency to slice, so you line up 30 yards left of your target. It's compensatory golf! You play the shot according to your weakness in order to save score as opposed to taking the time to do it right. We all enjoy the game when we shoot a better score but those of us who can only manage to get out once a week or even once in two weeks will do… Continue

jeff woodcock The Slice

O.k. ...so I know the experts say the only reason I slice is because my club face is open at impact. But it just doesn't "feel" like it is. And when I consciously try to turn my knuckles forward through the swing, I get garbage totally un-natural swing-like feel and a doink that goes about twenty yards slightly off to the left. I do hit it straight occasionally and in the 200 yard range and I'd be ok with that for now, but when I do that, or when I boomerang it into the previous fairway, I tell… Continue
